Bodybuilding and Teenagers
Teenagers are fascinated with the sport of body building . Teenage boys want perfect bodies and the reasons may vary, from actually wanting to body build or to get the girls, remember these are teenage boys we are talking about and hormones are rife! With the effort and time and hard work that is put into body building, is it actaully safe for teenagers to body build? The most important thing for teenagers to remember is that they are still growing. You may not look like your bodybuilding idol until you have finished the natural growing cycle. Patience is important.
Using steroids whether you are a teenager or an adult should be strictly stayed away from and opposed. It is safe, if it is done safely and correctly. Various body building supplements that are on the market that adults use to body build may not be safe for teenagers either, so please be aware before you start to use them or let your children use them.
Take for example the supplements that increase the level of testosterone ion the adult body, these are not safe for teenage boys to take as it could affect their overall development and cause problems in the future. Supplements that could be worthwhile a teenager taking are some of the following: protein powders, multivitamins, glutamine, creatine, and weight gainers. Supplements that teenagers should definately avoid will include growth hormones, ECAs, any all in one product, andros, tribulus, and DHEA.
Most teenagers have amazing metabolisms and can eat anything they like and not put on weight, but not all teenagers are that lucky. Teenagers need to learn what to eat and how to eat when they are body building, this is extremely important. If a teenager is wanting to become a body builder, they need to learn about the correct and proper nutrition.
Teenagers who start body building should use maximum caution when lifting any amount of weights. Always have a spotter with you, and get advice from a personal trainer and a doctor before beginning a body building program. They key to teenage body building is to stay safe and know what can and cannot be achieved. Teenagers who are always eager will more often than not overdo the training program, they do not realize their own limitations and believe they can do it over night, and this can lead to serious and possibly permanent injury.
Rest and sleep is paramount to a safe body building routine for anyone, let alone teenagers. Teenagers seem to be able to survive on very little sleep, but when they are wanting to be body builders, they need to realise that they need sufficient rest and regular rest at that. Thay have massive amounts of energy that can prevent them from sleeping, but it is essential they get proper rest so that their bodies and the muscles can repair themselves properly.
